Galaxy Energy & Resources Appoints Nitin Kumar Gupta as Managing Director for the Middle East and Indian Ocean (MEIO)

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates – January 14, 2026 – Galaxy Energy & Resources today announced the appointment of Nitin Kumar Gupta as Managing Director (MEIO). Based in Dubai, Mr. Gupta will lead the company's strategic growth, trading operations, and market expansion across the Middle East and Indian Ocean (MEIO) region.

Mr. Gupta brings a wealth of expertise to the role, with over a decade of experience spanning the steel, mining, power, and coal sectors. His appointment marks a significant milestone for Galaxy Energy & Resources as the firm strengthens its leadership capabilities to better serve clients in high-growth markets.

Mr. Gupta holds a Graduate degree in Engineering and a Postgraduate qualification in Marketing. Prior to joining Galaxy, he worked with some of the world’s leading industrial organizations, including Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL), Vulcan, Essar Steel (now ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel), and Bhushan Steel Limited (now Tata Steel).

His professional journey covers diverse roles in sales, sourcing, and supply chain management, with deep expertise in commodities such as Coal, Steel, Iron Ore, and Pellets. As Managing Director (MEIO), Mr. Gupta will leverage his strong industry relationships and execution capabilities to drive value creation and expand the firm's global trading footprint.
